Nora Sandoval-Castillo

Nora is the currently the Director of Academic Services in the Viterbi School of Engineering at the University of Southern California. As Director she oversees the academic and retention programs for over 2600 undergraduate students. Prior to her move back to Southern California in 2012, Nora had spent over 13 years of at UC Berkeley working in retention programs for first generation, low-income students. She is currently in the Executive Master in Leadership program at USC’s Price School of Public Policy.

Nora continues to stay active with UC Berkeley alumni efforts in SoCal. As an undergraduate student, Nora was a part of the founding of TRENZA and often served as a great resource to many steering committees and leaders in the early years of the organization. Nora continues to mentor women of color to reach their academic and professional goals. Nora, husband Jose and two sons, Mateo (5) and Santiago (3) reside in Altadena, California.
